Emerald City Comic Con is hastening toward us. And I am ready for it!
The convention is held at the Seattle Convention Center, Seattle, Washington from March 6 to 9. Four day passes are already sold out, but single day passes remain if you hurry.
This year will be special for me.
Way back in 1985, I wrote a book called Wizard of the Pigeons. It's an urban fantasy set in 1980's Seattle. My main character, Wizard, is a Viet Nam veteran, living on the streets and coming to terms now onlywith his past and his severed ties to the life he knew, but to his future, and the peculiar powers that are stirring in him.
This year, it is one of the featured books at the Grim Oak Press booth at ECCC.
The edition pictured above is from Grim Oak Press, and illustrated by Tommy Arnold. It will be available at the Grim Oak booth at Emeral City Comic Con. I will be there to sign copies, and I will have autographed bookplates from illlustrator Tommy Arnold. Those will be in limited supply, so drop by early in the con.
And if you can't come to Seattle for the convention, you can still get a copy of the book from The Signed Page.
Is that all? Why, no!
Also available with be an anthology edited by Shawn Speakman, featuring stories by authors attending Emerald City Comic Con. Which means you have a very good chance of getting autographs from every writer in the anthology. His special Grimoire anthology for Dragon Steel Nexus soild out very quickly, so if you think you want one of these, best order it now. Grimoire for Emerald City Comic Con 2025 is available now for pre-order You don't have to attend the convention to get a copy.
Other quick notes: I plan to drop in at Norwescon in SeaTac Washington. Writer Guest of Honor is Catherynne Valente. Dates are April 17-20, over Easter Weekend.
And finally, Worldcon comes to Seattle from August 13 to 17. And yes, I will be there, too!
